Week/end #4

So the fourth week our friends from Provo Sam and Jessica Bryan came out to visit her Aunt and cousins that lived like 10 minutes away from us. This was so nice cause it finally gave me something to do during the day. I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which was AWESOME!! (poor Adam had to work) It was so big, and there was so much cool sea life to see.

The next day I went to Seacliff beach with them. I didn't bring my camera, but I spent the day building sandcastles, boogie boarding, and getting the worst sunburn of my life. I came home that night to get ready for Harry Potter midnight premiere. I put on my Gryffindor shirt from Harry Potter World and my Gryffindor scarf also from Harry Potter world, and off we went to the theater to wait for 3 hours.

We finally got into the theater, and our 3-D glasses were shaped like Harry Potters! It was pretty much amazing.

The movie was great. Almost everything I wanted it to be. They ruined the ending, but other than that it was very well done. The only thing that would have made the movie experience better is if the girl two rows behind us was not crying hysterically during the entire movie. When I mean crying hysterically, I mean crying hysterically, like sobbing out of control. It was the most annoying thing I have ever experienced. Jeez people, get a grip.

The next night Adam and I went over to Jessica's Aunt's house and we went to the Drive Inn theater to see Cars 2. This was my first time at a Drive Inn and it was an interesting experience. It probably would have been better if you could actually hear the movie over the planes, sirens, and cars driving around.

That weekend we went to Big Basin Redwoods State Park. I have never seen Redwood trees, and I don't think Adam had either. So we took the hour drive through a very windy, very thin road. There were some points of the road that only one car could get through, yet it was a two way road. We arrived and it was Beautiful! The trees were huge. I have never seen trees that big. We did a little hike that took you around some of the different kinds of Redwood trees.

After we did the loop we decided it would be a good idea to do a 3 mile hike to a waterfall.

Well it ended up not being such a good idea cause on the way back I got a super bad headache, and then I got car sick on the drive back, and ended up throwing up from a migraine once we got back to our place. So much fun... Not. It was cool seeing the Redwoods though. Too bad the trip was tainted with being sick.

That was weekend #4. It was a pretty adventurous week.
