Christmas Time

We started the season out by having all of our Christmas deco up before Thanksgiving. It was nice to come home after being up in West Jordan and see all of our Christmas stuff up. I wish I would have gotten some pictures but I totally slacked and didn't take any of our decorations. But we actually had some decent decorations this year. Adam's family got us some ornaments and an Advent Calendar last year for Christmas, so it was nice having more than just a tree up.

We got in the spirit by going sledding with the Drowns

We also did some ice skating which was a ton of fun. I haven't been since I was in like 7th grade.

So after a lot of arguing and compromising I was able to get the full two weeks of break off from work. We were super excited. We spent the first week in Vegas with my family. It was so nice. WE didn't worry about doing anything. We slept in, watched lots of Christmas movies, shopped, ate, and just about everything else you can think of that is supposed to be done while vacationing.

This is our delicious Christmas Eve meal, which consisted of crab, lobster, scallops, shrimp, tri-tip, frog eye salad, baked potatoes, and of course Martinellis.

Christmas morning we got up and opened presents.

Christmas was a blast and I was so happy I got to be with my family. It was a nice break. The next week we drove to Arizona and flew from Arizona to Missouri. This was my first time in an airplane. I know sheltered life, I blame my parents. It was quite an adventure, I really enjoyed flying. Now we will see if I will be saying that after the forever flight to Florida in May. Adam's parents picked us up from the airport in Springfield and we drove to Branson where we were staying. Missouri is a very interesting place. Never been to the midwest before so I was pretty excited. We had a lot of fun shopping at the outlet malls, going to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, Silver Dollar City, and of course meeting all of Adam's dad's side of the family.

Then we drove to Arkansas to see Adam's grandparents who are serving their mission there.

We had lunch with them and started our long trek back home. 34 hours later we arrived back in our humble abode in Provo, Ut. It was a much needed break from work and school and we were sad when it was over. Now only 4 more months til Florida, and only 5 more months til we move to San Jose for the summer.

When are you moving? If you need help, let me know! We'll be up there the first weekend in May, so if you need us to take a car load to Vegas or something don't hesitate to ask. :)
