Thanksgiving

So for Thanksgiving this year we went up to Adam's aunt and uncle's place up in West Jordan. His parents and siblings came up from Arizona and met us up there. I got Thursday and Friday off work, so it was a nice little break. I actually watched most of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, which doesn't ever happen. It was a really really really cold weekend so we stayed inside most of the time. I took a lot of naps and ate a lot of food.

We decided we wanted to do some black friday shopping, and walmart was starting theirs at 12:00 am. So we went over there around 10:30 pm and it was packed, there was people EVERYWHERE. Holy cow, I have never actually went out on Black Friday, usually we wait til like 6 or 7 in the morning and then venture out, but it was a madhouse. All we wanted was DVD's, walmart was selling them for $1.96 a piece. What a deal!! So we stood around the section they were holding all of their DVD's and waited. People kept coming and trying to squeeze in, they were unwrapping the box to see what DVD's were by them. By 11:20 it was ridiculous, people were throwing DVD's to each other trading whatever ones were by them. Adam got in the head a couple times, and I was slowly getting a pretty big stack. About ten til midnight everybody was just grabbing movies. There was no order so we took what we got and got out of there. We got away with about 23, $2.00 movies, 3-4 $5.00 movies, and Toy Story 3 for $10.00. It was awesome. We actually have somewhat of a movie collection now. After that we headed home to sleep and then got up around 7:00 am and went to Target and Kohls. They didn't have much left by that time but we got some good stuff. My favorite was the Popcorn maker. Now we have popcorn that tastes just like movie theater popcorn. So I would say a pretty successful Black Friday.

The rest of the weekend was just relaxing and hanging out with the family. It was lots of fun.
