Night at the Museum (Utah Style)

So towards the end of February we went to Hutchings Museum to experience a Night at the Museum. We went with the Drowns, and it was really fun watching Maeli in there. It was a packed house though. We waited in line for easily over a half hour just to get in, and how could I forget about the 40+mph wind when it was 40 degrees out. (probably around 28-30 with wind chill). We were shivering like crazy. Brittany and I took the kids and stood right by the building so we could get some shelter from the wind, while the boys waited in line for us. Once inside it was much warmer and it was quite a fun evening. They decked the place out and made it an experience much like the movie Night at the Museum. They had everything come to life, and they explained the history of the things we were looking at. We had a ton of fun walking around and learning a little more about Utah's history. After the museum we enjoyed a delicious dinner at India Palace. What a great ending to a fun day.

Just like the dinosaur bones in the movie.

The pictures came to life.

Maeli learning how to make color from stones and egg.

Watching the process of making colors.

Maeli touching a snake.

Maeli being a princess.

Looking at a piece of a meteor that was found in Argentina.

Clay playing with some fossilized dinosaur poop.

Indians really did have cell phones back in the day. :)

Watching some fish.

Yes that is an Egyptian in a box.

Learning about the old Egyptians.

BEAR!

The Hubs and I.

Maeli was a little afraid to get near this thing.

Playing the drums.

Grinding some maize into meal.

We put Maeli in jail, she didn't want to leave... Hopefully that changes when she is older.
